Brandon wanted something low key that oozed his personality. His two main requests were whiskey and the woods. Done!
We found a cabin on VRBO called Camp Festivus and knew that it had to be here! It was set in the Mt. Hood area of Oregon and guests were treated to a rustic BBQ featuring grilled organic New Season's burgers and local Oregon beer and whiskey. The cabin had a kitschy hunter's feel with roaring fire place and all. The deep wood was gorgeous all on its own and provided an amazing back drop for the event, but with a few DIY touches including: mason jars with DIY tags as drink glasses, paper flag banners, tissue paper poms and fans, wine labels and much more, the party was fabulous in an understated kind of way! To top it off, there were home made cupcakes, personalized M&M's and a take away bag filled with Brandon's favorite Whiskey and his secret to a good glass of chilled whiskey, the rocks!
Brandon's friends and family stayed at the cabin where kids and adults enjoyed the stream in the back yard, the outdoor fire pit was watched, whiskey was sipped and hot tub fun ensued into the late night. Sometimes extravagance can be overrated, so why all the fuss?
